Meet Our Heros

Charley Wright is a guy you just always look forward to seeing. He brightens your day with his giant smile, or just a friendly hello. He has worked so hard, with not only the Gateway chapter, but with us at the Kentucky-Indiana Chapter to bring good quality recreation, activities, and a better quality of life for our SCI veterans.  He offers events at Jefferson Barracks, from bowling downstairs, to getting in the pool, outdoor events, picnics, baseball, and the St. Louis Games. He even brings us SCUBA diving!

In September, Charley hosted the 2nd annual Veteran’s Outdoor Adventures at the YMCA - Trout Lodge in Potosi, MO.  He has taken an immense amount of time to develop and organize this terrific new program.

Charley makes a difference in veteran’s lives. The KIPVA chapter would like to salute Mr. Charley “BIG TUNA” Wright for all that you do for SCI veterans
